Think Feminists Hate Men? Please. Read This Primer for the Feminist Haters

Many-Many years ago I had the pleasure of cooking dinner for the President of Chicago chapter of NOW and her guests who included Betty, Bella and Gloria, see, I was the token male. We talked until 3:00 A.M., mostly about 'The Movement'.
Betty had held that marriage was a Comfortable Concentration Camp even though she was married - Gloria lamented the way she was treated in the month she was a Playboy Bunny and Bella - WOW a powerhouse with words and a hat that would not quit.
My relationship with all lasted years and those friendships were strong bonded. What impressed most was NOT that the current crop of men had to change - all agreed that it was an impossible task, the goal became to raise children GIRLS & BOYS with different attitudes and expectations.
Your friend can't handle a broom or pick up after his dog? Bring the fight to the generation who raised him!
Our three children: The oldest (woman) retired from the Food Service Industry, the second (man)is in Forestry and the youngest (woman) is a PhD who teaches college. We raised loving, honest caring children to be loving, honest, caring and productive adults. Our best friends are in long term marriages - we lead as we are in the 5th decade of ours. And rest assured we do not believe that Feminists hate men. My great aunt was in the first wave of feminism, my sister in the second and one of my daughters (the doctor) in the third.
Parents not patriarchy are responsible for the ills of the world, lay the blame at the feet of those responsible.
One more thing - it can't be stressed enough that the important part of AI is ARTIFICIAL and in the seeking truth it must not be taken seriously!
Yes, all benefit. Women and men working together using the skills they have for the betterment of all society. Why has this been so damn difficult to grasp?
And one of the best ways to dismantle patriarchy is for women to become aware of their own "Inner Patriarch" - Dr. Sidra Stone’s book, The Shadow King (1989), a cornerstone in feminist psychology, introduces the concept of the “Inner Patriarch,” an unconscious internalization of patriarchal authority that undermines women’s autonomy and perpetuates self-limiting beliefs.
By naming this force the “Shadow King,” Stone exposes how cultural systems of domination are carried within women’s psyches, shaping relationships, work, and identity. Her work provides a psychological framework for understanding and dismantling the internalized structures that keep women bound to patriarchal norms.
There is a desperate need for women all over the planet to become aware of what we have internalized through living in patriarchal hierarchies for centuries.
This is the same way we internalize ageism and racism, Camilla. When we don't recognize how we uphold systems we automatically protect them. It's insidious and so harmful. Thanks so much.
Yes, it's true that we automatically *and unconsciously* protect and even reinforce systems (like patriarchal hierarchies) when we don't recognize our own unconscious drivers and archetypal forces within. Thanks for reading and responding Julia♥️🙏🕊️
You bet. Honestly I have to believe that the same kinds of things happen to men, they are great before they get married and then slip into behaviors that would have otherwise horrified them had they watched themselves in action prior. We are all of us so unconscious.
Yes. Which is why I believe the most important work we can do is the kind of inner work that brings harmony and peace within, which then ripples out. As within, so without♥️🙏🕊️

Lovely comment John, what a wonderful read. Thank you.
Well-done, Julia. I left social media because of the keyboard warriors who pounded out irrational and ignorant messages.
All women and men must stand up and stand for feminism values as it represents freedom and choice for everyone.

Just ordered the book.
Oh, please do let me know what you think when you may have the time to read it♥️🙏🕊️
p.s. I enjoyed listening to Sidra herself narrate the audio edition

Thank you! Well written with fact not hate.
I agree with you fully! Well done!
Exactly. Thank you for stating what shouldn't need to be stated but obviously does.
Yes! Shout it from the rooftops! EVERYONE benefits from feminism! 👏
Julia - thank you! Couldn't have said it better.
