Oh boy oh boy oh boy . . . this is horse porn for me! That stallion is GORGEOUS and moves like a dream — and I hope this doesn't sound weird, Julia, but you have a fine seat.

No, it's not weird. Only a fellow horse person would say that and it's a high compliment. Thank you.

This is truly horse port! I didn’t even know I was susceptible and I feel that body between my thighs like the embrace of a lover!

Powerful story.

So, you realized a childhood dream - a truncated one no less, realizing it was “enough.” WISDOM, in a nutshell.

While I’ve always admired horses, I’ve never ridden one. I believe they’re the most beautiful creatures here on earth. I enjoy feeding them carrots and Starlight mints, feeling their muzzle in the palm of my hand (my daughter-in-law is an equestrian, with two horses on their 5+ acre property in KY).

I know that horses, like dogs, are very perceptive, sizing up ppl regularly. These Egyptian horses knew you were “good people.” That beautiful stallion knew you could handle that 2 minute sprint in the sand. Perhaps he knew to gift you with a dream fulfillment? Spirit works its magic every day.

I absolutely believe that, Linda. Thank you.

Thanks for sharing! I love the look on your face when you're close to the horse. I think, we're all too young to be giving up on our dreams.

I read your story on a whim, and it moved me deeply. Thank you so much for inspiring me to keep fulfilling my dreams because when I was a little girl I didn’t even know I could have a dream as they weren’t encouraged for girls. Now that I’m in my later years these dreams have started to bubble up from inside me organically. It’s quite a joy to finally release myself my own restrictions. Programming can be hell to override! But I highly recommend it. 😌

Thank you Mary. I would encourage you to write about what dreams you’re starting to give yourself. Permission is a very powerful thing, and we inspire others with our tales.

Thanks Mary! growing up as a male, I was not aware of the deep limits to society’s acceptance of female dreams! Live yours now!

Many thanks for this recollection. I am 73, still working as a NASA astrophysicist (because I love it?) and wondering if I can still pursue my lifelong love of airplanes by taking flight training!

One dear friend of mine got her IFR at 68. I'm likely to do Sky Combat Ace out of Vegas to realize a different dream because I never finished my ground- but I do have 71 hours flying time. Do it. As in...now. Time sure doesn't wait for us, John.

I totally get it! They were my favorite books when I was young, and I devoured them all until Pam died. That was a bridge too far for my middle-school heart, and I never read them again.

I have the same problem with the last Bond movie. I can't see my hero die even though he has to. I'm such a wimp.

Wow! I know nothing about horses, too afraid of them. I've been bitten once and almost kicked by another... oh, and there was the one who left me on the beach in Santa Barbara, and ran back to the stable, so I had to walk a few miles back.

This read holds the envious factor for me... and as for that camel kiss: simply lovely!! I did experience one of these and you're right he didn't smell bad at all!!

Wonderful, Julia! By crazy coincidence I wrote a horse poem late last night! I'm off to a dressage competition in a little while, my mare is competing at Prix Saint George. I can't ride anymore because of a neck injury, but I love to go and watch. She's so talented. I'll take photos, videos, and share later! Oh, and Walter Farley! I read all the Black Stallion books in French when I was a child. I still have them. xxx
