I love this one. I have never considered being called a bitch as an insult. I just figured if someone thinks I'm a bitch, I'm just too much for them. I've never been afraid of not making friends due to my strong personality.

It definitely weeds out the ones who resent your power.

Truth ! I guess I was ahead of the curve. I had a hat in 2008 BITCH. Bitch in total control of herself.. it took. Few more years to grow into and own it . I do enjoy my softer side too

Thank you. Apparently the orange turd referred to VP Harris as "that fucking bitch" which doesn't surprise me one bit. He's really really scared. Good.

Julia, this post is spot-on. You are 100 percent correct, that the term Bitch is "a way to control, demean and reduce female power. It so often means that someone is terrified of the goddess in us, also known as the goodness in us." When men won't take crap, they are viewed as assertive; when women won't take crap, we are known as "bitches." I love how B.I.T.C.H. gets turned around to be positive.

We certainly live in a patriarchal society, and frankly, I, like so many thoughtful women, have been sick of it. Ironically, I've known younger women who enjoy being part of the patriarchal norm -- they decide the man's view is right. I was appalled when a woman I knew who chose to stay home with her children while her husband worked outside the home was OK with her husband asserting that he was the "man of the house." Not surprisingly, his eight-year-old son has been repeating these words. That's how patriarchy gets passed down from generation to generation.

I like the new version of what B.I.T.C.H. can mean. I totally embrace it.
