OMG -- I've decided the Universe arranged for you to have these adventures (and misadventures) so you can share stories like this with us. I'm so delighted to be among your rapt audience. And you kept me going . . . all along, I thought Berni was getting a big tip of an entirely different nature. His loss.

Thanks Jan. I've had quite the time remembering them. There are plenty more, I just have to review my notes. Boxes and boxes of them!

Bahahaha...as usual, you had me hanging til the very end. Can't decide if I'm disappointed that it was only your undies on fire 😂 30 years difference is just a number 😁😁😁

Well, since I"m writing for a different audience these days, I have to mind my story manners. However, if he asks me again, you never know....

Yeah, my f-bombs took a hike a long time ago. I don't mind....I don't need them to make a point. Besides I like the challenge of finding ways to make stuff funny without needing to be vulgar.. it's hard enough to get paid work these days and I don't need to send potential clients running!

One thing I do miss writing about is dating and relationships lol. My Medium stories were hilarious! I miss being hilarious but those were the days when I actually had a heart 😂 I'm dead inside now lol!!

You know I'm going to challenge you on this one. Parts of us do die, Kristi, you know better than most. Then those bits and pieces of us become part of the loam for the next part of life. We gain perspective, perspective is power and humor rises from that power. I gave up on dating, too, but I didn't stop loving life, and I didn't stop being hilarious. Neither did you. We have seasons, those seasons allow us to process the shit, the shit becomes fertilizer for more life. Otherwise we lose our lives to anger, resentment and grief. Those things are part of life but they aren't life. The rapes and incest and assaults I endured, the eating disorders, the amount of pain I've been through these last five years...all fertilizer. I didn't think I was going to get through it on more than one occasion. Dating? HAH. But I have worked on friends, just as you have. You and I are surrounded by love, love is part of the loam, and that's what grows new parts of us which are far stronger. We can- and I did, too- see life as so great and wonderful before we get drop kicked hard. The real strength, the real power, is to find our funny and joy in life after we've been drop-kicked so many times our butts have divots in them. You have your pup, your mom, your friends, people and readers who love you. WE all get to evolve into the next thing, and that next thing can be ever so much richer and better because of the price of what we've experienced. You know this, Kristi. Nothing dead about you. Our hearts may be scarred but they are still pumping and strong.

Thank you for this, Julia. Now that I've woken up on a new day and taken stock of everything I posted yesterday, clearly I was having a shit day.

I've actually been working on a post for next week that has a lot to do with what you've said here so yup, you're getting a tag and quote in that post. 😊
