Thanks kindly, Kristi. I was thinking about you when I went to bed last night. I find it so intriguing that we can all get so caught up in our grief and pain and forget that the person next door may well be in worse. For my part, with all I had happen over the last several years, I didn't have to spend that time tending a dementia-addled husband who kept me at home full time with no relief in sight. While the death was hard on her, being solo has been worse. I can table my pain to give her the grace to acknowledge hers. This is what community means.
This is a good lesson for all of us. Kindness is a currency that we should willingly spend where it is needed, and accept graciously when we need it ourselves.
This was just beautiful and really struck me. Especially today because I just got home from my neighbor's place. She lost her job yesterday.
People really need this right now. Thank you for sharing this! ❤️

Amen sister.

That is what community is all about. Thank you for caring.
Thank you Kate. I do the same thing online. We receive what we are willing to invest.
