Those of us who are well past sixty, and the further the better, can tell you what it’s like to be facing the end of our days, and why it’s so damned important to choose to LIVE instead of giving up your time and precious life to all the other things that will suck that life right out of you.
This article is about many much younger people whose days are strictly limited. This is advice from people whose lives have been cut short by illness.
Read this article. Just read it.
Please read it. Then and only then will you understand why I write what I write, why I do what I do. I care passionately that you and I live our best lives right here, right now.
We never know about tomorrow, we never know about even the next very second when some damned fool teenage driver who is texting might take our lives, our mobility and our dreams away forever.

Because so many of us are cutting our lives shorter with lifestyle choices, developing cancer and dementia far earlier, using drugs and alcohol to shorten their lives.
With my whole heart I would NOT have that be your life.
You and I are WAY Too Old not to take life by the short and curlies right now and bloody well LIVE IT.

I will have an opportunity to make a giant shift in my life this year, and I'm starting to lay the groundwork now - on top of the past 6-7 years of groundwork improving my health. There are rocks in the water ahead, and there are other people whose care I can't abandon - but I hope to have different TIME in which to operate and move. From full-time employee - because who else will provide the health care coverage? to work-when-I-want will take a pretty giant step for this corporate child of a corporate dad.
