I loved Iris Apfel. She was an icon, she was smart, and she was my influence when I started wearing large glasses - they were a statement (pre-cataract surgery, when I didn't need glasses anymore.) She was a maximist who influenced minimalists like myself. She is missed, and will be for a long time.
She was fricken' amazing, Amy. I was in a Lowe's one day and came around a corner and nearly ran smack into a great big poster of her in all her colorful glory.

What a legacy. And so much of it in her final years. Cheers for her.
Wow! I now need to know everything about Iris! A beacon indeed.

Yep, Iris was a goddess. We should all have a day of wearing giant glasses to honor her.
Amen, Jan. All hail to the original true influencer.
